How do I know which journey is right for me?

Each Beyond Atlas journey has its own character. The Northern Morocco Journey focuses on imperial cities, the Mediterranean north, Chefchaouen, history, architecture, and culture. The Southern Morocco Journey travels through the Atlas Mountains, Sahara Desert, Marrakech, Essaouira, and some of Morocco’s most dramatic landscapes. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to connect with you personally and help you decide.

Absolutely. We intentionally keep the website focused on the overall experience rather than every daily detail. If you are considering a journey, you can request the detailed itinerary and we’ll be happy to send it to you.

What’s included in the journey investment?

Accepted Answer

Your journey includes accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, private transportation throughout Morocco, airport transfers, expert local guides, guided cultural experiences, entrance fees to included sites, welcome and farewell dinners, and support from the Beyond Atlas team throughout the journey.

What airport should I fly into?

Both journeys begin and end in Casablanca. You will fly into Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca (CMN). Final arrival and departure guidance will be provided once your reservation is confirmed.

Yes. Airport transfers are included during the designated arrival and departure windows for your journey. We will provide detailed arrival instructions before departure.

What fitness level is required?

You do not need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable walking, sometimes on uneven streets, stairs, medinas, and historic areas. Some days involve more walking than others. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us before reserving so we can discuss whether the journey is a good fit.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs and food allergies when we are informed in advance. Because we travel through different regions and locally owned establishments, not every request can be guaranteed, but we will always communicate your needs to our partners.

What should I pack?

A detailed packing guide will be sent before departure. In general, we recommend comfortable walking shoes, lightweight layers, modest and versatile clothing, sun protection, and a light jacket or wrap for cooler mornings and evenings.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, I would strongly recommend travel insurance for international travel. Depending on your final terms and conditions, you may even want to make this required rather than recommended, especially for medical emergencies, cancellations, delays, and unexpected travel disruptions.

A $750 USD non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot on a Beyond Atlas Journey. The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule provided at the time of booking.
