Each Beyond Atlas journey has its own character. The Northern Morocco Journey focuses on imperial cities, the Mediterranean north, Chefchaouen, history, architecture, and culture. The Southern Morocco Journey travels through the Atlas Mountains, Sahara Desert, Marrakech, Essaouira, and some of Morocco’s most dramatic landscapes. Your journey includes accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, private transportation throughout Morocco, airport transfers, expert local guides, guided cultural experiences, entrance fees to included sites, welcome and farewell dinners, and support from the Beyond Atlas team throughout the journey.

Both journeys begin and end in Casablanca. You will fly into Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca (CMN). Final arrival and departure guidance will be provided once your reservation is confirmed.

You do not need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable walking, sometimes on uneven streets, stairs, medinas, and historic areas. Some days involve more walking than others. We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs and food allergies when we are informed in advance. Because we travel through different regions and locally owned establishments, not every request can be guaranteed, but we will always communicate your needs to our partners.

A detailed packing guide will be sent before departure. In general, we recommend comfortable walking shoes, lightweight layers, modest and versatile clothing, sun protection, and a light jacket or wrap for cooler mornings and evenings.

Yes, I would strongly recommend travel insurance for international travel. Depending on your final terms and conditions, you may even want to make this required rather than recommended, especially for medical emergencies, cancellations, delays, and unexpected travel disruptions.
